Well it looks like we are done with this class. Donald turned everything in and he said there won't be a meeting Weds. so I thought I would leave one final reflection.
At times things were frustrating and communication issues were a good part of that as it is in most conflicts it seems. Some people didn't have the same work ethics as others, but they pulled it together towards the end and hopefully they can learn something about working in groups and realize that the group is bigger than they are and working as a group can lead to a lot of accomplishments that they couldn't achieve working alone. I learned quite a bit taking this course that really helped in other courses and in my personal life so I can't be to upset about my grade because it doesn't reflect what I actually learned and inside I know thats more important than the grade is anyways. Its been fun in ways to see what other people are seeing and reading their discussions and questions i just had to shake my head, but then again i have teenagers who sometimes do the same things, but now i will watch what they are doing a little closer. Thanx Everyone!!!!!!

Meetings Nov. 25 & Dec. 2
Last week was Thanksgiving, so we didn't have a meeting due to everyone being busy with the holiday.
Last night's moderator was me. Don had a prior engagement on campus, so he asked me to be the moderator. I couldn't get the cameras and mics to work for Taylor and Eric, so we just text. It seems to me that Taylor and Eric don't know how to contribute without someone telling them what to do. Taylor asked how the Survivor project rework was going, because it is really bringing down her grade. I asked her if she added any new input to it and she said she hadn't. I told her to check the discussion area for the rework project and add from there. She openly said that she needs to be told what to do. I didn't know what to say. This class is suppose to teach critical thinking in a group setting, but she doesn't want think on her own and give feedback. Eric is the same way it appears. I haven't seen an assignment post from him in over a month and none of his posts for the projects include terms from the text, even though he has been asked repeatedly to include terms in his work. It is frustrating for me because I feel like they want me and Donald to do the work for them. I'm having a hard enough time with my other four classes and this one to be doing work for other people. I need a 3.0 to transfer in the fall and this is the only class I'm not getting a 96 or better in. In away I feel like I am giving upon this class because of the lack of effort from others. I feel I need to concentrate on the classes in which I can control the grade by my work and not the work of others. I still need this class but to put in so much extra work to cover for those who don't want to work is defeating the purpose of group communication and it isn't worth sinking my other grades to put forward more work in this class. I will keep doing what I have to, but my motivation is declining.. Justin was a no show again.
